What?

Join us for a food-lover's adventure for 3 days (2 nights) in France’s gastronomic capital, Lyon, which also holds the title of Gastronomic Capital of World since 1935!

Please note that this is not a vegetarian friendly trek. Many of our dining locations unfortunately do not provide up to par vegetarian options.

 

When?

The trek will officially start with dinner at 7pm (local time) in central Lyon on Friday 14th April and will officially finish at 4pm (local time) in Lyon on Sunday 16th April, following lunch in central Lyon. Recommended flights that will allow you attend all of the activities covered by the trek are provided further below, and we will be scoping interest for a group lunch on Friday 14th April for those with flights arriving in the morning.

 

How and how much?

Tickets will go on sale at 1200pm Friday 24th February, and are priced at £395. Full details are below of what is and what isn’t included.

Tickets to upgrade Saturday dinner to a truly memorable meal at the renowned Restaurant Paul Bocuse (Michelin 2*) will be released to trek attendees at a later date. Due to space constraints, this will be limited to 10 attendees.

 

What are we doing? (more details to follow)

Friday 14th Apr

  • Arrive at Lyon Centre
  • Hotel check-in
  • Welcome dinner at M Restaurant (modern market-driven cuisine, Michelin Bib Gourmand award holder)

Saturday 15th Apr

  • Free time in morning or optional Lyon walking tour
  • Lunch at Le Bouchon des Filles (elevated bouchon Lyonnais cuisine)
  • Wine tasting in the afternoon in Beaujolais
  • Dinner at Daniel et Denise (traditional bouchon Lyonnais cuisine, with a highly celebrated chef), or Paul Bocuse (classic French cuisine, a gastronomic institution, 2 Michelin Stars)

Sunday 16th Apr

  • Free time in morning or optional Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse market visit
  • Farewell Lunch at Le Café des Fédérations (traditional bouchon Lyonnais cuisine)
  • Hotel check-out

 

What’s included?

  • 4-star hotel accommodation in the centre of Lyon, in double rooms
  • Breakfast, Saturday and Sunday
  • Friday dinner, Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch, all at carefully selected restaurants
  • Wine tasting afternoon in Beaujolais
  • Transport to/from the wine tasting

 

What’s not included?

  • Flights to/from Lyon airport and transport within Lyon
  • Drinks and alcoholic beverages, less the scheduled wine tasting on Saturday afternoon
  • Travel insurance and visas
