At the 2020 WEF Annual Meeting in Davos, 120 of the world’s largest companies supported efforts to develop a core set of common metrics and disclosures on non-financial factors for their investors and other stakeholders. After a six-month open consultation process, the WEF published its report defining common metrics for sustainable value creation in September 2020. Will this set of metrics emerge from the crowded landscape of ESG reporting approaches to be seen as the gold standard? This discussion will enrich the perspectives shared in our January panel event, "Demystifiying ESG Reporting", with Professor Ioannou.

Join KPMG's Global Co-Head of ESG Tom Brown and Philips' Senior Director of Sustainability Simon Braaksma for this virtual fireside chat discussing the merits of the new WEF ESG Metric set. Tom led KPMG's advisory work on the WEF project and Simon is responsible for Philips sustainability agenda, which includes reporting on the WEF metrics in their 2020 Sustainability Report.
