Special Project / Internship: Commonwealth Games England
PROPOSED PROGRAMME CRITERIA
- CGE to take on one student at a time, to work full-time or part-time for us in our offices at Crystal Palace for a period of 1-2 months.
- The student will be given a principal project to work on, but will also be exposed to the many and various other projects with which we deal, so that he or she will have a chance to get a 360 degree view of how we work.
- We will do our utmost to make the project work interesting and challenging and to involve ourselves in it throughout. We will also try to give the student exposure to the wider sports industry through our network of contacts.
- The role will be unpaid but we may be able to help with travel and per diem costs.
Candidate Characteristics:
- Confidence and the ability to pursue a project with a high degree of autonomy.
- The flexibility to combine a focus on this project with getting involved in other projects as needed.
- A serious interest in joining the sports industry – this will allow him/her to get the maximum benefit from the experience.
