The 2026 Musical Comedy Awards: Semi Finals

The Acting & Comedy Club is bringing you one of the best comedy nights in London — at a subsidised student price — and this one’s extra special.

Now in its 18th year, the WeGotTickets Musical Comedy Awards is the UK’s biggest platform for emerging musical comedians. Past alumni include acts in the vein of Bo Burnham, Tim Minchin, and Flight of the Conchords, with performers who’ve gone on to the BBC, Netflix, Edinburgh Fringe, and major international comedy festivals. The awards are officially patroned by Bill Bailey and are widely seen as a launchpad for the next generation of musical comedy talent.

This show is a semi-final, featuring 12 acts battling it out live, with the audience voting on who progresses to the final. Even better — one of the semi-finalists is your very own LBS student and Acting & Comedy Club President, so come along to support a fellow classmate on a national comedy stage.

Expect sharp writing, big laughs, live music, and wildly different comedic styles — all in one show. If you like your comedy clever, musical, and slightly unhinged, this one’s a no-brainer.
