In the framework of the Black history month, the LBS Africa Club and Africa 2.0 are delighted to invite you to an evening with journalist Zeinab Badawi this October 31st. Zeinab will share with us her experience and her views on Africa today as well as interesting insights on the UNESCO initiative she is involved in, General History of Africa (GHA), that aims to reconstruct Africa’s history from an African perspective.
Her interview will be followed by a broader debate on 'the importance of knowing African history for the future and whether this significantly impacts business', moderated by fellow broadcaster Hashi Mohamed.

More about Zeinab Badawi:
 
Zeinab Badawi is a well-known broadcast journalist at the BBC. She currently hosts World Debates and Intelligence Squared Debates and the popular HARDtalk, where she interviews some of the best known personalities and politicians in the world. She is also a film producer through her company Kush Communications.

Zeinab has won many awards and recognitions. She has an honorary doctorate from SOAS, London University for her services to international broadcasting. In 2009 she was awarded International TV Personality of the Year by the Association of International Broadcasters, and in 2011 and 2015 was named in Powerlist (published by Powerful Media Ltd) as one of Britain’s top 100 most influential members of the black community.
