In this talk, Dmitry Fotiyev, MD of Brightmore Capital and graduate of the Columbia/LBS Global EMBA, will talk about his experiences in launching and running an impact-focused Private Equity fund in Africa.
Brightmore Capital is an impact investment fund empowering the new generation of West African entrepreneurs. The fund targets four key investment sectors: Food Value Chain, Renewables & Cleantech, Financial Inclusion, and Essential Services, which include education, healthcare, and other key needs of base-of-pyramid populations. Brightmore Capital fills a financing gap for SMEs in some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic economies of the world and invests in a segment underserved by banks and other sources of private financing. Alongside providing capital, the fund accompanies companies
to help them mature, scale and expand to become true “regional champions”.
