Details
Applications for the Hong Kong Investment Banking Trek are now open and are due Sunday September 18th 2016 at 12:00pm.
Application forms can be found attached in the emails sent out to all the targeted group members.
Completed application forms must be sent by email to Flora Wang (fwang.mba2018@london.edu).
Please be aware the information collected will be passed to career office for verification and selection. We will endeavour to invite as many of you as possible to participate on the Trek, however, there may be space constraints imposed from some of the banks. In case of oversubscription, a selection committee comprised of the Trek Leaders and Career Centre will review all submitted applications and advise all students as soon as possible if they have been successful. Selection criteria will include strong, long term commitment to the region and the investment banking industry as well as relevant background, which is more important in Asia than it is in Europe. We will also take into consideration your language skills to ensure we meet the demand of the banks for a mix of backgrounds with a strong emphasis on firstly Mandarin and secondly Korean speakers.
Information on the trek can be found below:
WHO?
MBA2018s and MiF2017s interested in pursuing summer internships (investment banking) in Asia.
WHAT?
A three-day trip to Hong Kong packed with networking sessions with financial services firms and London Business School alumni. This year, we already have sessions confirmed with Goldman Sachs, Barclays, Citi, BAML, Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan. We are still awaiting confirmation from several other investment banks and may have even more to add to the list!
The main focus of the trek will be on investment banking, and will focus solely on summer internship opportunities (not full-time positions unfortunately).
WHY?
On campus recruiting for finance are generally for positions in Europe. If you are interested in pursuing a summer internship in Asia, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about financial services firms there.
WHEN?
Hong Kong: 24th October (Monday) – 26th October (Wednesday)
