ETA Speaker Series #5: Lacey Wismer

The ETA Club is delighted to host Lacey Wismer, Founder & Managing Partner of Hunter Search Capital and Fillmore Capital, for our fifth Speaker Series event.

Hunter Search Capital and Fillmore Capital are investment firms dedicated to Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition, partnering with search fund entrepreneurs pursuing long-term ownership through HoldCo structures. Lacey has been investing in ETA since 2010. She began her career at Hunter Trust, where over a ten-year period she led more than 50 search fund investments before founding Hunter Search Capital in 2020.

In addition to her investment work, Lacey is the Co-Founder of the Women’s Search Network, an organisation committed to supporting and connecting women pursuing careers in search funds and ETA. Earlier in her career, she worked in healthcare investment banking at Deutsche Bank and as a consultant with Stanford Graduate School of Business Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies.

Lacey holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA from the University of Colorado. She is passionate about mentoring first-time operators and advancing the global ETA ecosystem through long-term, responsible ownership.

In this session, Lacey will share her insights on backing first-time operators, building and operating HoldCos, and the realities of long-term ownership - from search to acquisition and well beyond.
