What?
Challenge yourself to climb the 3 tallest peaks of England, Scotland and Wales within 24h (hiking 37km/ 23mi with 3,064m/ 10,052ft ascent and 745km/ 462mi driving distance). This is a famous event across the United Kingdom, which is combined with raising funds for a charity or cause. The Expedition Club organises this as an annual event. When?
Saturday, 21. September to Monday, 23. September 2019. The trek starts at Glasgow Saturday morning and ends in Manchester with departure back to London on Monday morning. There might be conflicts with the S1/S2 regular term lecture slots Monday morning.
Why?
Because it's a great physical and mental challenge - a real adventure, you spend time with a large group of friends and fellow students and you are supporting a good cause!
What is included?
Ticket price includes end-to-end transportation from Glasgow and to Manchester in private vans, professional guides and drivers and accomodation + breakfast in Manchester Sunday night. It does not include transportation to Glasgow and from Manchester (option to explore either city), food and drinks during the challenge, equipment, insurance or swag. We will look at group purchases for train tickets and swag closer to the trip. We are also looking into sponsorship.
