FLII & WIB - Storytelling in Business, Interactive Workshop

Margarita Bicec - Monday, April 12, 2021
 Events

We swim in a sea of stories: we learn, dream, plan in stories; we are moved and inspired by stories; we believe, hope and love in stories. It is through stories that we make sense and give meaning to ourselves and the world around us.

And yet, so often we underestimate the power of the story in shaping own identity and influencing others and ignore the role of the story in business. We all have unique life experiences that get us where we are but don’t articulate and tell stories that mark our uniqueness to the crowds; we can spend hours refining a slide deck but no time at all thinking about the story we want to tell; data and detail is presented as if it simply speaks for itself, etc.

The FLII (First-Generation, Low or Intermediate Income) club recognizes the power of narratives, especially for minorities such as first-generation, low or intermediate income groups, and defines storytelling as one of the core pillars of our strategy. We are determined to, through a series of storytelling activities, help turn the invaluable experience of our club members to proud identity and appealing narratives so they can further influence and inspire.

Join us in a virtual workshop on 'Storytelling in Business' for FLII and WiB communities with Philipp Humm, the founder of Power of Storytelling.
