With over 1 in 4 people experiencing mental health problems each year, it is highly likely that we will all experience difficulties or support a loved one through mental health struggle in the near future. Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, act and helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. In spite of this, this is an area that is often not discussed so we are left with unanswered questions, a lack of information and without the understanding and knowledge that we might need one day to access support.

In this session we will be joined by doctors and medical professionals from Thrive LDN to explain some of the basics around the different mental health conditions, mental health in general and how to get support if you need it. From ‘what is depression?’ to ‘what do I do if I’m having a panic attack’ we will aim to provide a general introduction in the form of a talk as well as time for questions and continued, unstructured discussion.
