Jane Coffey
Founder, Investor Coaching
After a 23 year career in fund management, Jane Coffey has recently founded her own executive coaching practice for investment professionals. By combining her experiences as a professional investor and manager of investment teams with her recent studies at the Academy of Executive Coaching, Jane now specialises in coaching professional investors to improve the effectiveness of their investment process and the quality of their decision making. Using psychometrics, she helps her clients get a greater understanding of their personal strengths and how they react under stress, adapting their investment process to their personal characteristics, whilst embedding lessons from behavioural finance observations.
Jane’s fund management career has spanned many economic and investment cycles, including the October 1987 market crash after only a month in the role! Most recently, she headed the Equity team at RLAM, overseeing £12bn invested in global equities as well as directly managing several UK Equity portfolios and being a member of their Executive Board for over ten years. She spent the first 15 years of her fund management career investing in continental Europe, heading teams at Royal London, Aviva Investors and Sun Life of Canada, before rejoining Royal London as Head of Equities in 2003.
Jane graduated from the University of Sussex with a BA in Economics and German. She is an ASIP member of the CFA, a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and holds a diploma in Company Direction from the IoD and Executive Coaching from the AOEC.
