Details
Norm joined SEC in 2010 when the agency was under immense pressure to reign in what many perceived was egregious and reckless behaviour on the part of Wall Street firms that led to the tumultuous market events of 2008. Eager to help restore confidence in the US capital markets he quickly realized not everyone shared his enthusiasm for ushering in change.
Norm Champ is a partner in the Investment Funds Group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP and former Director of Investment Management at the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). He is also a lecturer on Investment Management Law at Harvard Law School. He has recently written about his experiences in Going Public: My adventures inside the SEC and how to prevent the next devastating crisis.
The date is the March 8 and the venue is the WLT theatre. The event starts at 6.30pm
