Event Details
Orbis is on the lookout for exceptional students from any academic background. Do you have a record of high achievements? Do you have the intellectual courage to think and act independently?
The challenge for our successful applicants will be to independently research, write and present an investment report on a company of your choice to Orbis analysts.

Training and Structure
A November training session for our successful Challenge applicants will provide some guidance on how to approach the research and analysis of your chosen company. Following this training session, your main Challenge Reports will be submitted in early 2018.

Successful stock pickers:
• The student preparing the most promising report and stock presentation will be awarded £2,500.
• There will be two runners up prizes of £500.
Challenge participants may also be invited to interview for internships or jobs in Orbis' investment teams (located in London, Hong Kong and San Francisco).

Who Can Apply?
Any currently enrolled student may apply. There are no academic background requirements. Successful applicants must be able and keen to dedicate time to independent research.

Sound interesting?
You can learn more about the challenge at http://www.orbisstockpickingchallenge.com/.
To apply, please submit a CV and an application report stating whether you would recommend the purchase or sale of shares in either Easyjet (EZJ:LN) or JD.Com (JD:US) together with the reasons for your recommendation.

The application deadline is at the close of Wednesday 15 November (23.59 GMT)

There is a slightly extended deadline for LBS students - as such, please ignore the parts of our stock picking challenge website that refer to 12 November. Weds 15th is correct for LBS.
