Suman Bery is an Indian economist, academic, and writer, who was the former director general of National Council of Applied Economic Research and the former Indian country director of International Growth Centre.

At a time when India is recovering from the financial turmoil as a result of one of the world's strictest lockdown, what could be better than to get 1st hand insights from someone who worked directly with the RBI to enable Indian economic. reforms during the 1992 crises.

Suman Bery actively worked in the Raghuram Rajan Committee on Financial Sector Reforms, constituted in 2007 by the Government of India for proposing financial reforms in the country. He also very recently served as the Shell's Chief Economist. Prior to NCAER, Mr. Bery was with the World Bank in Washington, DC which he joined through its young professionals program.

This would be moderated session and we have a list of questions around the Indian economic outlook pre and post covid, financial sector policy and the institutional reforms that are expected following this pandemic.
