Site Visit to Borough Yards with Wates

Wates have kindly offered to have a small group of us out to have a look at one of their live construction projects, Borough Yards. The club will then buy you a drink at a pub in Borough Market after. Please bring your own safety boots if possible - they are cheaply available and will be useful for your future involvement in the construction industry. The club and Wates will provide you with the remainder of your PPE (hardhats, high-vis vests, gloves, goggles).

Designed by architect SPPARC , the development features five mixed-use buildings for offices, shops, gallery, restaurants and a cinema. It will also restore and reinvent the lost medieval street pattern of the area adjacent to the world-famous food destination Borough Market. Several historic local street names will be revived, including Dirty Lane, Clink Yard and Soap Yard. The project is currently in the early phase of groundworks in construction.
