Chapel Down Winery Tour & Tasting

The Retail & Luxury Goods Club and Wine & Spirits Club is excited to invite you to a unique vineyard tour and tasting at Chapel Down Winery. The event will take place on 5th June 2018, 8:15 – 17:30 and will include:

- Vineyard and winery tour
- Tutored tasting of award-wining sparkling and still wines
- Feast menu lunch at the Chef’s Table at the award-winning Swan Chapel Down Restaurant
- Informal Q&A session with the Managing Director, Mark Harvey
- Travel provided to/back from vineyard to Charing Cross Station

Chapel Down is England’s leading winemaker and one of the UK’s most exciting drinks companies. Chapel Down produces a world-class range of sparking and still wines, together with the award-wining range of Curious beers & cider. Chapel Down is located in the beautiful Kent countryside, set among 22 acres of vineyards, recognised as an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.

Space is limited to 17 students. The all-inclusive cost of the event is £76.

Mark Harvey, MD Chapel Down - With a French mother and an English father it seems only right that Mark, having committed the early part of his career to the business of Champagne, has latterly shifted his efforts to the world of English Sparkling Wine!

Graduating from Oxford University in 1998, Mark worked firstly in various marketing and commercial roles at L’Oreal and then Cartier before finding his calling in the world of premium wines and spirits joining Moet Hennessy in 2004. There he held the position of Dom Perignon Brand Manager in the UK for three successful years before being appointed to the Management Team of Moet Hennessy UK with a leadership role of the Spirits portfolio. From there he went on to assume the position of General Manager for Ireland before then being appointed Business Director USA across Single Malts.

In 2015 Mark moved on from LVMH, thrilled to be offered the role of Managing Director of the Wine division at Chapel Down. Two years on the English Wine revolution has gathered further momentum and Chapel Down consolidates its position as market leader in this dynamic industry. The reputation of the company continues to grow with the launch of a range of Single Vineyard wines winning international acclaim. The congregation of fans is set to expand rapidly with the recent launch in the U.S.A.
