The Social Impact Club is excited to host Roundtable Chats with social entrepreneurs who can share their story on working in the social enterprise space. We only have 12 spots so sign up today!
We are thrilled to have Alex Stephany, Founder & CEO of Beam, speak to students about his past experiences, learnings, and advice for entering the social impact space. Alex loves to run and grow businesses by attracting and nurturing the most talented people and obsessing over product. In his most recent role as CEO of JustPark, he grew revenue over 10-fold in 3 years, raised funding from Index Ventures, and closed the largest equity crowdfunding for a startup in history.
He is also the author of a book on the sharing economy, The Business of Sharing (Macmillan, 2015). He provides expert comment on the sharing economy and startups, and has appeared on Bloomberg TV, Sky News, FOX, NPR, and the BBC among others.
Beam is a new way to help homeless and low-income people for the long-term.
The 1st platform of its kind globally, Beam works by crowdfunding employment training for disadvantaged people - then supporting them into work based on their strengths and skills. Crowdfunding donors can see their impact direct from beneficiaries and KPIs.
Beam has won numerous awards including being part of Financial Times’ 100 Digital Champions in Europe.
In this small Roundtable Chat setting from 11:30 - 12:30 on Thursday, 25 April, you will have the opportunity to learn from Alex as well as ask any questions about how to jumpstart or expand your career in the Social Enterprise Space.
We will host the Roundtable Chat in P102 and are looking forward to seeing you there!
