**Talent Management & Acquisition**
(Astha Parmar, Founder/ CEO of impact-focused HR consultancy, Inspiri.co)
People are the key to any business. How do people operations differ across organisations focused on social impact and how do they - if at all - differ from regular corporations? How do social impact organisations manage resource limitations in compensation or benefits and how do they stay competitive? How do you build a strong culture and mission in these context, and avoid falling into a trap of using "doing good" as an excuse for not doing good.
Astha Parmar has over a decade of experience helping organizations design innovative people practices. As Founder and Principal at Inspri.co, she has helped purpose-driven organizations such as Congressional Hunger Center, Trees for the Future, and Humentum clarify their talent strategy, create talent solutions, build organizational capability, and automate HR processes.
Astha is also an adjunct Professor at Seattle Pacific University where she teaches 'Design Thinking and HR' to masters and PhD students. Prior to Inspri, Astha led the Global Talent & HR Function at Grameen Foundation — delivering HR solutions across Africa, Latin America, and Asia. She has also worked in the finance sector in the US, and consulted for various service-sector organizations in India.
