Did you know that the ‘tech for social good’ sector was worth £2.3 billion in the UK in 2018 with a turnover larger that of the consumer electronics manufacturing sector? Do you want to learn how innovative start-ups are using technologies to solve pressing social issues? Join the Social Impact Club’s ‘Tech For Good’ series and get inspired!

In this session, we will be having a fireside chat with Jamie Crummie, co-founder of Too Good To Go.
Have you ever wondered what happens to good quality food in restaurants and retail stores after they close every night? Jamie Crummie, Forbes 30 under 30, trained as a lawyer before pursuing his mission of fighting food waste. He is the co-founder of Too Good To Go: the world’s largest marketplace for surplus food. The free app connects retailers who have unsold food available with local consumers who purchase, collect, and enjoy it. Too Good To Go is now active in 14 countries (and counting!) with over 20 million Waste Warriors who have rescued over 30 million meals collectively. Find out more at www.toogoodtogo.co.uk

We look forward to welcoming you to our fireside chat with Jamie. He will talk to us about the journey so far at Too Good To Go, tackling challenges with changing customer behaviours, and solving the food waste issue using technology; this will be followed by an open Q&A session.
