Squash Club kickoff event!

Dear LBS community:

Let's kick off the year with some squash, beers, and bites!
Join the Squash Club for the 2019 kickoff event! We will be squash friendly games for all levels followed by networking, food & drinks at the Lord’s Tavern! The event is designed for old, new and future members of the Squash Club and squash enthusiasts of ALL levels (this is an open doors event, you don’t need to be a Squash Club member to attend).

When:
• Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 06:15pm to 09:00pm
What to bring:
• White shorts and t-shirt: Mandatory as MCC is an old-school club and enforces a white-only attire.
• Non-marking athletic shoes: Mandatory. These can be any colour you like as long as they don’t leave markings on the court. (Cheap non-marking athletic shoes can be purchased on sports direct for £20-30)
• Racquets: Optional. Bring your own racquet (if you have) or play with the Club’s racquets! (Cheap racquets can be purchased on Sports Direct starting at £30)


Directions to Lords:
1. Main Entrance to Lord’s Cricket Ground (Directions here). You should see some turn styles common in stadiums. Mention that you are part of LBS and are going to the MCC to play squash (Need to have your LBS ID!!)
2. Go through the turn styles and walk straight. The stadium will be on your right. You will go past the gift shop and then you’ll see signs on your left for the Marylebone Cricket Club.
3. Go through the door and you’ll be at the reception. Go through the hallway and walk to the end. The women’s changing room will be on your right and the men’s and the end of the hallway. The squash courts are going up the stairs in between the men’s and women’s dressing room.
4. There are two courts (A and B). If you keep going up the stairs you’ll go to the viewing area. This is where we will meet before playing.
