Turnaround Management & Restructuring Club (TMRC) is a platform for LBS students interested in turnarounds, restructuring, distressed investing, and special situations. We bring together students who want to understand how companies navigate stress financially, operationally, and strategically, and how stakeholders shape outcomes.
Throughout the academic year, TMRC hosts hands-on workshops with practitioners across financial advisory, legal advisory, distressed investing, trading desks, and CRO functions. Our goal is to give students practical exposure to real restructuring processes, including how situations evolve, how decisions are made, and what execution looks like in practice.
One of our flagship events is the Conference of Financial Distress. In 2024, TMRC welcomed panellists from Bank of America, Houlihan Lokey, Lazard, Strategic Value Partners, Triton, Centerbridge, Blantyre Capital, Alchemy, Sidley Austin, and Octus (formerly Reorg), giving students direct access to the people shaping the market.
