Ever wondered what a career in finance would look like? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Introducing your starter-kit on finance careers.
Come listen to four amazing LBS women talk about their journeys in the world of finance, offer advice and answer questions. The program is geared towards MBA and early career women. The panellists will answer any and all of your questions on:
Types of finance roles and the skills needed for them
Typical workday in the life of a woman in finance
Biggest career challenges and how to overcome them
Our Panellists:
Erika Fredriksson, MBA2021: Prior to the MBA, Erika was a regional and campaign marketing manager for the financial information division of SIX Group. Erika completed her summer internship at PIMCO and will be returning as an Account Manager after her MBA. She is currently an MBA intern at Finch Capital.
Makani Bavya, MBA2022: Prior to the MBA, Bavya was an investment associate at mid-market private equity firm Epiris in London. She started her career at 3i. Bavya studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Warwick University.
Jilian Vagt, MiF2021: Originally from Hamburg, Germany, Jilian started her career as a sell-side equity research intern and then moved to the buy side where she worked for a German long-only equity fund boutique for almost 4 years. She supervised her own coverage across all market capitalizations, industries and geographical areas and held responsibility for multi-million Euro investment decisions based on deep fundamental research.
Sena Salman, MFA2021: Prior to LBS, Sena worked at Societe Generale Corporate as an investment banking intern. Sena has also worked in consulting at Oliver Wyman. She completed her studies at Bogazici University where she majored in Business Administration and Management.
