Details
As members of our community, we all have a role to play. One way that we can help to prevent and root out these forms of harassment is by being better bystanders; to act in the face of unacceptable behaviour and to ultimately stop these transgressions from taking root.
In this event, we hope to equip you with the tools you need to be better bystanders and share some related experiences of men in the LBS community. The session will be run by a certified trainer and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
What to expect in the training:
1. Overview of why we promote bystander interventions
2. Introduction to pyramid of hate as a way of exploring prejudice, hostility and hate (video on microaggressions)
3. Introduction to bystander effect and why people don't intervene
4. Case studies and exploring potential interventions
5. An intervention framework in the workplace (things you can do to intervene)
Who is this targeted towards?
Men + TGNCNB people
