4. AI Evaluation & Testing

  • Date: Friday, 8 January 2027
  • Time: 11:00–12:30
  • Location: London Business School — LT5

Learning objectives

  • Design realistic user tasks and test cases for an AI product.

  • Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, consistency and safety.

  • Identify common failure modes, including hallucinations and unexpected behaviour.

  • Use test results to prioritise improvements and guide the next iteration.

Who is this for?

This workshop is primarily for LBS AI Lab participants. It is also open to anyone building or testing an AI product and wanting to understand whether it works reliably for users.

Prerequisite

This is the fourth session in a progressive series. Participants will get the most from it if they have attended the earlier sessions and have a prototype or working product to test.

About the instructor

Ivan Ante spent fourteen years in investment management, most recently leading a multi-asset team overseeing more than US$2 billion. He has founded two education companies, including Flosendo. As a mentor, he combines investor judgement with hands-on experience building products with AI from a non-developer background. He helps teams decide what to build, choose appropriate tools and approaches, and test and refine their products.
