Art & Business Club | An Exclusive Look into Contemporary Pakistan Art

The Art & Business Club is excited to offer its members free entry to two exclusive private exhibitions featuring the works of Pakistani talents on the 25th and 26th of January. Art, drinks and canapés a-plenty, surely not-to miss either or BOTH!

Thursday, January 25: Mohammad Ali Talpur: Sight Specific at Austin / Desmond Fine Art
In collaboration with Canvas Gallery (Karachi), Austin / Desmond Fine Art is thrilled to present a solo exhibition of Pakistan’s one and only minimalist artist, Mohammad Ali Talpur. Known for his linear drawings, Talpur’s work is inspired by the idea of “art without content”. There will be a conversation between the artist and Sona Datta (writer and broadcaster and former curator of South Asian Art at the Peabody Essex Museum).

Friday, January 26: Multiple Narratives at the Grosvenor Gallery
Also in partnership with the Canvas Gallery (Karachi), the Grosvenor Gallery will be featuring the works of 8 emerging contemporary Pakistani artists, Imran Mudassar, Mahbub Jokhio, Muzzumil Ruheel, Noor Ali Chagani, Sajjad Nawaz, Salman Toor, Wardha Shabbir, Yasser Vayani. The exhibition will be accompanied by a talk led by Dr Virginia Whiles.
