A kind reminder for the application of 2016 China Investment Trek – The deadline is 11:59pm on Friday Nov 4th !
And we are glad to inform you that we already confirmed time slots with Matrix Capital, Barings PE, Kinzon Capital, Zhen Fund, Actis PE, DiDi, Jinr Toutiao and JD in Beijing, Fidelity and invesco in Hong Kong.
The communication with IDG Capital, HONY Capital, Sequoia Capital, Blackrock, Capital Group, T. Rowe Price, Vanguard, Orbis and Blackstone is in a positive process!
More companies to be confirmed. Please note that the list of the companies is subject to change and the final list will be announced in due course.
What is China Investment Trek
This must-taken trek is a 7-working-day trip to visit the most innovative and high-profile Chinese investment companies in Hong Kong and Beijing. It is a unique opportunity for LBS students to interact with leading financial investment institutions and tech companies and gain deep insights into the whole investment cycle from venture capital and private equity to secondary market investment, from financial institution investors to strategic investors.
China investment sector records incredible statistics in 2015. There were more than 7,000 equity investment deals closed in China primary market (including Hong Kong), amounting to US$81.1 billion. In the same year, 597 new VC funds raised US$32.7 billion and 2,249 new PE firms raised US$85.2 billion, with a large amount of fund still looking for investment opportunities.

Date: Dec 14th - Dec 22nd 2016
Mandatory arrival in Hong Kong on Dec 13th, Tuesday
Mandatory attendance to all corporate sessions
Location: Hong Kong (Dec 14th-17th), Beijing (Dec 18th - 22nd)
Eligibility: All students interested in China investment sector
Group Size: a total of 15 participants, another 10 applicants will be placed in the waiting list
Costs: China Club will not charge for the trek. Participants are responsible to cover all logistic and social costs including flights, airport transfers, accommodations, meals, visa applications, social events, and any other activities you planed outside the trek.
Visa (if applicable): China Club will try our best to help you, however, please understand that it is your responsibility to prepare for and apply for the Visa as early as possible. You may want to prepare your Visa documents from now on. Please find detailed information for China Visa application:
