Join your fellow LBS students and alumni in Cyprus! The Cyprus Gran Fondo 2019 is a one to three-day "Cycling for All" event that will take place in Cyprus during the last weekend of March. This is a chance for elite and amateur riders alike to ride shoulder-to-shoulder, climb the glorious Cypriot mountains and compete in our first major event of the 2019 season.

This is a lightly planned event: to participate, all you need to do is signup for the event (https://www.activatecyprus.com/en/events/granfondo) then let us know via RSVP link below. We will setup a WhatsApp group (of course!) and help you with training and logistical advice, plus offer encouragement every step of the way.

Hotel: We recommend the Aloe Hotel, but any will do as they are riding distance from the start of the event. We recommend booking your hotel stay via the event organizers.

Bike Rental: There is an option to rent a bike & helmet too (Scott CR-1 or equivalent), however, you need to book early!

Routes: http://www.cyclingcy.com/gf-race-info/gf-route

Flights: You may want to come in one to two days early to get acclimatized to the weather and well-fitted to your bike, then stay an extra day to enjoy the sun.

Non-riders: there is a very inexpensive option for partners, fans, classmates to join without riding and, if using an event hotel, stay for an extremely reasonable price. It would be great to have a couple of extra people at the finish line to cheer us along.

UCI Licensed Racers: This event is a qualifying stage for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships (UGFWS). The top 25% of finishers from each age group will be guaranteed entry to the 2019 Gran Fondo World Championships. Please contact Adriano for further details.

We are looking forward to riding with you in Cyprus!
