The LBS Cycling Club are planning a fast 110km ride this weekend down to the Surrey Hills. The ride will consist of 3 big climbs (by UK standards). There is the option to skip two of these and 15km if you think it may be too much.
There are 2 meeting points on the way out and there is also a train station by Box Hill if you would prefer to miss the return 45km and hop on a train back instead.
The first meet is outside the Sussex Place reception (old campus) on Park Road @ 07:10 sharp for a 07:15 departure time.
The second meet is outside the main entrance to Wimbledon Station (south London) @ 08:00, which is 17km into the route.
After the 3 climbs we can grab a well-earned coffee and snack at the top of the famous Box Hill before heading back on the predominantly downhill return.
The route will be highly demanding taking in 110km (85 from Wimbledon) with just over 1,000m of ascent and around 5 hours of saddle time at a brisk pace. You can take a look at the section from Wimbledon at the below link:

Any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me (dwray.mifft2018@london.edu).
I will confirm on Friday afternoon with those who register so that we know who to expect at the meet points.
As per usual, helmets are mandatory and a road bike is strongly recommended due to the speed and distance that we will be taking in. Additionally, appropriate winter riding gear including some extra layers is highly advisable given it is ridiculously cold!
Look forward to seeing you bright and early for a fun-filled ride.
Cheers,
LBS Cycling Club
