The Design & Innovation club is excited to bring you our second speaker event of the year: Jalal Hamad and Albert Vita on Customer Experience, Innovation and Retail Strategy at The Home Depot. The talk begins at 7pm (GMT) on 25th November.

The Home Depot is the world's largest home retailer with a turnover of $108bn. It operates 2,200+ stores in the US, Canada and Mexico with 38,000 SKUs carried in store and over a million SKUs sold online.

During the event we will discuss how The Home Depot are innovating in in-store and online customer experience, how their team uses data to drive creative insights and get closer to the customer, whether the customer is always right, what the CX role entails and what Home Depot will look like 10 years from now.

Jalal Hadad is Senior Director of Retail Strategy and In-Store Transformation at The Home Depot. Recognized by design:retail magazine as a top 40 under 40 for outstanding contribution to the retail industry, he specializes in in-store merchandising and digital innovation. His team balances art and science to drive sales, improve productivity, enable speed and create value for customers and shareholders.

Albert Vita is The Home Depot's Director of In-Store experience and Program Manager of Home Depot's "Store of the Future" / Pilot Store Initiative (90+ pilots in 1 store) and the ground-breaking HDDC (Home Depot Design Center) in San Diego, CA. Albert brings 25+ years management consulting and industry experience with Fortune 500 retailers. He currently leads cross-functional strategy development & innovation for the store experience across The Home Depot's 1,800+ U.S. locations
