Richard is a hands-on design leader, with extensive experience helping both established and emerging companies solve complex business challenges with beautiful, innovative and intuitive UX-led solutions. Prior to FarFetch, he previously worked as a Design Director at Microsoft, Sky, Guardian News and many other major organizations. He is a startup mentor for the FarFetch Dream Assembly, a leading Fashion and Retail Technology accelerator, and he holds a MA in Design from the University of the Arts, London.
Farfetch is an online luxury fashion platform. It connects shoppers with more than 980 stores and brands through a single internet storefront that offers a seamless logistical experience for both shoppers and sellers.
During this talk, Richard will cover topics such as:
1) Why is design important in business?
2) The importance of diversity in design
3) How can people with a business background work with experience designers
He will also introduce examples from his own work and answer questions from the audience.
