Elena Melia joined BP in 2000, working in BP Castellon Refinery as Advanced control Engineer. She has 15 years of experience in different roles in refining, supply and other downstream businesses, including some roles in Corporate Functions (Mergers & Acquisitions and Refining Planning & Strategy Team). She has been always tempted to work in a global business and she moved to Aviation business (Air BP) in April 2014 as Regional Commercial Manager Western Europe. She leads a 40 people team and is accountable for the performance and strategy of the Regional airports within UK, Ireland, France and Benelux, with direct responsibility to commercial airlines, general aviation, supply and logistics and technical offer. Her approach is inclusive, being enthusiastic on making things happen. Elena has a degree in Industrial Engineering by the Polytechnic of Valencia (Spain), Bch Hons in Manufacturing systems Eng. by Liverpool University and holds a Management Post graduate by IESE Business School.

Shiva Kant is a manger with >12 years experience across the Oil and Gas industry & consulting. Her experience includes
Operations excellence and production optimization for IOC, NOCs and Independents covering assets in the North Sea and Middle East and Asia; Re-designing the strategic planning and portfolio management process for an NOC’s E&P organization; Installing a loss management system offshore across 3 assets in Malaysia;
Defining the Indian Shale Gas Landscape and entry strategy for an Indian Power and Infrastructure Group; Defining the company strategy for West and South Africa countries including Angola, Congo & Gabon for a global Oilfield Services company; and Implementing a Performance Management workstream in a Malaysian NOC to track and monitor manpower development
Shiva has also been involved in Business and knowledge development in the areas of Capital Projects, Coal Bed Methane and Enhanced Oil Recovery. Prior to joining SBC, Shiva worked for Royal Dutch & Shell in the Group Corporate Strategy & Strategic Planning division in the Hague, Netherlands and Deloitte & Touche in London. Shiva is a professionally qualified Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA) and holds an MBA from INSEAD together with an undergraduate degree in Economics and Politics from Oxford University.

Tolu is a Senior Consultant in Schlumberger Business Consulting, based in London. Prior to SBC Tolu worked as a Well Engineer with Shell in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria. She later joined Ernst &Young UK in Programme Advisory. Tolu also holds a BSc. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and completed her MBA from Said Business School, University of Oxford with a distinction.
Her experience includes advising on Production Excellence,
Local Content Development, Project/Portfolio Management (including Capital projects) and Operations.
Shammi Khan
Senior Strategy Analyst

Shammi Khan is a Senior Strategy Analyst at Statoil, where she works on upstream strategic trends, competitor intelligence and long-term scenarios that may impact the competitive landscape.
Prior to joining Statoil, Shammi was a strategy consultant at Marakon, where she worked on projects across the oil and gas value chain, with a particular focus on refining and marketing strategy, exploration strategy and drivers of long-term energy demand. Shammi has experience working with management teams in Europe, North America and Asia. Shammi holds an MEng in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, with a brief time spent in facilities engineering and offshore with ConocoPhillips.
