Jacob Ulrich

Sterling Resources Ltd
Jake is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Sterling Resources Ltd. Previously from 2008 to 2011 he was the senior energy advisor to Och-Ziff Capital Management Group in London, responsible for developing Och-Ziff’s portfolio of upstream, renewable and infrastructure investments in the European Union, Africa, CIS and the Middle East.
He was the Managing Director of Centrica Energy Group from 1997 to 2008, responsible for the development and operations of upstream gas and power generation assets, procurement for British Gas Retail and British Gas Business, trading and upstream/midstream business development.
Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration degree.

Bob is currently a Managing Director for Carlyle International Energy Partners and focuses on further developing and growing Carlyle’s international energy platform. He is based in London.
Previously he was a Partner at Perella Weinberg Partners, but prior to that worked as an investment banker for over 21 years at Morgan Stanley and was involved in many of the largest transactions within the sector.
He holds an AB from Princeton University (1977), an MA from Oxford University (1980) and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law (1983).
David Davies
Vice President, Business Development
Sterling Resources plc
David is currently Vice President Business Development of Sterling Resources (UK) plc since 2012.
He has twenty five years international business development and commercial experience previously as Director and Head of the Commercial and Negotiations team for Marathon Oil based in Houston. In addition to 10 years with Marathon, he has been in business development roles with Enterprise Oil, Premier Oil, GE Power Systems and Rolls-Royce Power Ventures. While at Marathon he also served as Managing Director for their Equatorial Guinea LNG joint venture.
He holds an MBA from London Business School (MBA25/1986-1988) and a BSc First Class Honours in Civil Engineering from Leeds University. He is a chartered engineer having also spent six years with engineering consultancy Arup. He serves on the Board of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) currently as President Elect (2015-2016).
