Twice a month, on Tuesday, Springboard is your main touch point for everything entrepreneurship at LBS. Did you join our iDEA night on February 15th? We had over 80 people come together for a fun and informative session where students discussed their ideas with peers from the same industry! Who knows, we may even see a few unicorns in the near future! 

On Feb 22nd, we hosted James Chance (MBA 2019), former Googler and startup founder, and talked about building MVPs. He illustrated examples from his journey with yourself.online, an idea he first started developing at LBS’ Hackathon. With the next edition of Hackathon here, we wish everyone taking part the best of luck!  

The next event is on 1st March. We are hosting Terra, an API company that makes it easy for developers to access fitness and health. We will be discussing their journey so far and the healthtech industry. As usual, see you on Tuesday in Sussex Place dining room.

Entrepreneur's Journey: How to get investment ready with Keith Wiley

An interactive session for start-ups or would-be entrepreneurs on how to get investment-ready. Fundraising to start or grow a business is typically a time-consuming, frustrating and costly exercise that can be an unwelcome distraction from the day-to-day running of the business. Adjunct Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship Keith Willey, who runs Enterprise 100, the School’s angel network.

Professor Alemany is Academic Director of IEPC. QED Investors is a fintech venture capital platform focused on disruptive, high-growth financial services companies. Its numerous unicorn investments include Credit Karma, NuBank and Klarna.

Launchpad 2022 Cohort💫

Launchpad officially kicked off workshops for its 2022 cohort, with Alexander Grots from EWOR introducing them to Business Vision and Design Thinking. This year’s cohort includes 17 teams with unique ideas ranging from fintech and B2B commerce to fashion and entertainment - to learn more about them, click here. Building on last year’s diversity, 23.5% of the cohort are working professionals, and 17.6% targeting non-UK markets. Watch this space for regular progression stats and events on our 2022 cohort✨.

The Mayor’s Entrepreneur Competition

is currently underway and is looking for business ideas to make London cleaner, greener, and ready for the future. This year there are five awards each with a £20,000 prize fund.
