Chris Sheldrick is the Co-Founder & CEO of what3words, a business that stimulates business and economic growth by providing addresses to the poorly addressed parts of the world. Currently around 75% of the world (135 countries) suffers from inconsistent, complicated or inadequate addressing systems. This means that around 4 billion people are invisible; unable to report crime; unable to get deliveries or receive aid; and unable to exercise many of their rights as citizens because they simply have no way to communicate where they live. What3words is revolutionizing the world’s address book by assigning a unique 3-word address for every 3m square in the world. Their service can optimise government services, enable the universal inclusion of citizens in society and offer transformational benefits to the logistics, aid, and microfinance sectors in the developing world.

Join us to hear about Chris’ journey and the story behind what3words. He will share the biggest challenges he has faced along with recommendations for start-uppers. Chris will also discuss the advantages of running a venture that generates positive impact for society.

Space is limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Sign up today!

what3words

Chris worked in the music business for 10 years, booking bands and managing production for events around the globe. Chris was constantly frustrated with suppliers not finding site entrances, and bands not finding their way from the hotel to their gigs. He tried distributing addresses and GPS co-ordinates for years but both failed him on numerous occasions – he was certain there was a better way: what3words was born.
