Jeff Skinner will explain you about the Entrepreneurship Summer School and he will be joined by 5 ESS alumni who will share their experience and talk about how the Entrepreneurship Summer School helped them decide if they should go ahead with their business idea or try a more promising option.
The ESS programme is for those who are contemplating an entrepreneurial venture but don’t know how to take it forward or are unsure if they’ll enjoy the way of life. Each team is matched with a mentor who helps you to think through your business idea, helps you overcome stumbling blocks and serves as a sounding board. Your experiences on this programme will help you decide whether a career as an entrepreneur is right for you.

Common theme in my career to date has been the management knowledge transfer between academia and industry. I built and led one of the largest such units in the UK (at UCL) and been architect of a large number of major commercialisation deals (collaborations, spin-outs etc) and initiatives (seed funds, networks, new units etc). I am very active in the 'Technology transfer' profession as Past President of both UK & European Assocociations for Knowledge Transfer and the current Chair of the Professional Review Committee of the (worldwide) Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals. I teach, consult and lecture widely within the field.
