Since opening thier doors in 1995, it was Renée Elliott's dream to offer the best and widest range of organic foods available, and her mission to promote health in the community and to bring a sense of discovery and adventure into food shopping.
Renée Elliott realised the importance of good nutrition and also of sustainable agriculture when she had her first child. Renee then went on to found Planet Organic, a chain of food shops as an alternative to mainstream supermarkets.
"You've only got one life – it's not a dress rehearsal. If you're going to do it, you've got to do it well," she says.
"I wanted to look back on my life and think 'Great – I did something that mattered'.
"My mission is to promote health in the community and to support sustainable agriculture. If I can promote a healthier lifestyle, I know I've done my job. The two most important things in my life are family and food."
