Raising finance can be a full-time job and a significant distraction for any business whilst it tries to grow its day-to-day activities.

Come to this session to hear from Rod Brown, an LBS alumnus, who founded Opun in 2015 with a view to revolutionising the home improvement experience, putting customer values first and delivering a world-class service. Rod will talk about the business' funding journey and subsequent exit to John Lewis Partnership, revealing a few invaluable lessons learnt along the way!

This talk is part of the Entrepreneur's Journey series by the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at London Business School.

The Entrepreneur’s Journey programme of events is uniquely packaged to take would-be entrepreneurs through every stage of deciding whether to pursue an entrepreneurial career path, through to implementation of their aspirations and subsequently taking their business to the next level.

From exploring entrepreneurship to creating and thereafter growing your business, the series is structured in a sequential order that is a perfect complement to your studies, providing a practical and informative workshop, speaker and panel sessions that enable you to pick and choose which events are right for you.
