Although online streaming services and video platforms, from Netflix to YouTube, are grabbing an increasing number of eyeballs each day, it’s a mistake to think that TV advertising is dead. Television still accounts for 37% of the average UK resident’s media consumption and represents 95% of all video advertising that is actively viewed, lending it a reach and mass-media potency that the internet still has a long time to catch up with.
On average a UK viewer will see 41 TV ads on any one given day. As such TV advertising is still the most effective kind of video marketing around.
Mixing marketing theory and practical business cases, guest speakers from ITV will explain how ambitious brands are getting a jump on established competitors by using one of media's oldest channels. LBS alumna Olga Kiendler will also share her experience with how TV appearances can boost your business.
A must-watch presentation for anyone interested in the realities of marketing 'on the ground', successful entrepreneurship or simply what makes a great TV ad.
Speakers:
- Callum Taylor - Trading Controller, ITV
- Will Tapp - Strategy Controller, ITV
- Becca Peachey - AdVentures Strategic Lead, ITV
