We are delighted to invite you to the Summit Series event featuring Joel Perlman, Co-founder and Senior Managing Director of OakNorth, who will be in conversation with Professor Gary Dushnitsky, Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at London Business School.

About Joel Perlman

Joel Perlman is the Co-founder & Senior Managing Director of OakNorth, the digital bank for entrepreneurs, by entrepreneurs, that is empowering scale-up businesses (£1m-£100m turnover) to support growth, prosperity, and innovation for the benefit of all. OakNorth has lent over £10bn since its launch in September 2015, directly helping with the creation of 47,000 new jobs and 29,000 new homes across the UK and US and has reached profits of over £187m in 2023.

Previously, Joel founded financial research company, Copal Partners, in 2002 with just $60k. Over 12 years, he and his Co-founder, Rishi Khosla, scaled it to a 3,000-employee organization across 12 markets, before selling it to Moody’s Corporation (NYSE: MCO) and returning over 200x to seed investors. Joel grew up in Bogota, Colombia and began his career as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company and has degrees from the London School of Economics and Georgetown University.
