The Family Business Club are pleased to invite you to a half-day workshop with Prof. Gonzalo Jimenez, on "Family Business Legacy and Workshop Session on Action Learning for Enterprising Families”.

He will be presenting some relevant case studies from his experience, highlighting the challenges and lessons learned in the context of family owned companies.

The workshop, will have the following topics/schedule:

09:00 – 09:15 Introduction, Participants & Motivations: who is in the room, what are your learning objectives and purpose vis à vis your business family 
09:15 – 10:15 Family Business Legacy: A meaningful call to balance functional and relational aspect of family enterprising, and to develop “Black Diamond” Skills.
10:15 – 10:45 Interactive Q&A: Opportunity to contrast the introductory lecture with your own realities back home
10:45 – 11:15 Networking Break
11:15 – 12:00 Building your Toolkit with Action Learning: Action Learning applied to Family Enterprises, a demonstrative practical collective exercise.
12:00 – 13:00 Experiencing Action Learning: Group Guided Practice of Action Learning to deal with your own Family Strategic Challenges. 
13:00 – 13:15 Wrapp Up: Debriefing, Summary, Key Learning Points and Closing Remarks

Who is Prof. Gonzalo Jiménez?

Prof. Gonzalo Jiménez is the Said Chair Professor of Strategy, Corporate Governance & Family Business and the Director of the Centre of the Centre of Enterprising Families at Universidad del Desarrollo, in Chile. His research contributions have been acknowledged in the Economist, Strategic Management Review, Harvard Business Review and Family Business Review, and he has been dubbed one of the ten “Chilean Superstar Professors”. He is the founding partner of Proteus a governance & management consulting advising and serving as director of the board of top Latin American family business groups. He is a frequent leader of workshops and key note speaker in family business and corporate governance conferences in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Originally an Economist, he also holds a M.Sc. in Finance from University of Chile, he did his MBA from Paris-Tech one of the top French Grandes Eccles that included a stint at LBS MBA, he is completing a DBA (c) at the University of Liverpool, and he was the first Chilean Rockefeller Scholar at Harvard University´s David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies.
