Fireside Chat with Hedge Fund Managers - Adam Iqbal & Patrick Boyle | LBS Finance Club | IMCThe London Business School Finance Club along with the Investment Management Club will be hosting a Fireside Chat featuring Adam Iqbal and Patrick Boyle, two distinguished experts from the finance industry. They have a broad range of sell-side and buy-side experience. Patrick Boyle has worked in Private Wealth Management at Cape Cod Bank & Bank of America, as a financial derivatives trader for Victor Niederhoffer (former partner of George Soros), as a Portfolio Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, Millennium Management & Nomura. He started his own hedge fund called Palomar Capital Management running CTA managed futures strategies. He is a visiting professor for financial derivatives at King's College London and Queen Mary, University of London and runs his own YouTube channel, providing insights on quantitative finance and markets to approximately 512K subscribers. He is the author of several books on derivatives, corporate finance, and statistics as they pertain to the world of investing. To top all of that, he is also an LBS alumnus (MiF 2005 batch). Adam Iqbal has worked as an FX Options Trader at Barclays, as the Global Head of G10 FX Options Trading at Goldman Sachs, and also as an FX Volatility Portfolio Manager at PIMCO. He is currently a Portfolio Manager at Capstone Investment Advisors, an alternative investment management firm operating across a broad range of derivatives-based strategies with a deep understanding of volatility. He has also published a book titled, ‘Foreign Exchange - Practical Asset Pricing and Macroeconomic Theory’. He holds a PhD in Financial Mathematics and Financial Economics from Imperial College London and is an Oxford and Cambridge alumnus as well.
During this event, we will be discussing about Investing in an era of increasing macro-economic uncertainty and volatility. We will also delve into investment themes and take a deep dive into analysing markets from the perspective of a quantitative hedge fund manager.
