Hope you are keeping safe and doing well.

In a collaboration with the LBS DACH Club & INSEAD, we are pleased to announce the 1st European Investment Banking competition!

The competition revolves around an M&A case-study that is set up to simulate a real-life transaction, providing MBA students with an opportunity to gain valuable M&A transaction insights.  

The competing business schools are:

• London Business School
• INSEAD Business School
• Said Business School, Oxford University
• Judge Business School, Cambridge University

The Event:

Background – Each school team shall be assigned to either a buy or sell-side role and will be paired with the opposite side randomly.

Objective – You will have to value the company, negotiate the purchase price with the other team, and present your results to the jury.

Winner – The winning team will be one with the most convincing valuation model, negotiation skills, and teamwork as evaluated by the jury.

Important Dates:

• LBS internal selection round
• Team list submission – 20 November at 12:00 pm
• Team selection decision – 23 November
• Competition date – 27 November

If you are interested in participating, please e-mail Gal Levi (glevi.mba2022@london.edu) with the names and CVs of 4 students and a short paragraph (up to 200 words) on "Why you would like to compete?" by 12:00 pm on 20 November 2020. If you could not form a complete team, please send us an email and we shall attempt to bring together individuals. Please see below for additional details of the competition:

• Eligibility: Full-time MBAs only
• Representing Teams: 2 teams per school, 4 people per team
• No Registration fee required, the finance club has got you covered
• All applicants should be able to work on this event from 9 AM to 4 PM on the 27th of November
• Prizes:  £1000 cash for 1st place, £750 cash for 2nd place
