The Industry Club is committed to helping members acquire new skills for the ever evolving role of a general manager. Technology such as artificial intelligence is bringing about the 4th Industrial Revolution. In such a world, General Managers, especially in startups and/or tech companies, will increasingly need to know the basics of tools that are used in developing and managing digital content.

As part of our drive, we are running a session on "The basics of building a website". The session will be taken by Pratyush Lal, who is an LBS alum (MBA2015). He is founder/CEO of an eCommerce startup (FFOSHO, http://ffosho.co.uk/). He will run through the session with the underlying context of how he built content for his own startup website.

The session will cover:
What are the key components of a website?
How do these components tie together?
What is a responsive website?
What is the approach/tools to building a website?

At the end of the session, while you will not learn a new programming language, you will get a flavor of how website building for a startup works and what you can do next for developing your skills.

Since the club values the time and effort put by the instructor, we need to have an accurate assessment of attendance. Please RSVP only if you are sure that you will be able to make it.
