London Business School's most meaningful event of the year. Join us during presentations, discussions, and networking between top executives from corporations including Marks & Spencer, L'Oréal, Siemens, Centrica, Tata, and NIEA.

REGISTRATION :  Sainsbury reception (4:30 - 5 pm)

PART I: “Sustainability implementation” (5.00 – 7.00 pm)

  • Introduction by Ioannis Ioannou, Assistant Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, LBS (5 minutes)
  • 5x15 minutes presentation from representative leaders of companies that have successfully implemented Sustainability in their strategy and business models
  • Confirmed speakers:

- Mike Barry, Head of Sustainable Business, Marks and Spencer

- Alexandra Palt, CSR and Sustainability Managing Director, L’Oreal

- Ian Peters, Managing Director, British Gas Residential Energy – Centrica

Deputy Secretary, Department of the Environment

PART II: Q&A Panel on “The future of Sustainability” (7.30 – 8.30 pm)

  • The Panel will include:

- Ian Peters, Managing Director, British Gas Residential Energy – Centrica

- Ian Bowman, Head of Sustainability, Siemens plc & North West Europe

- Terry A'Hearn, CEO, Northern Ireland Environment Agency and

Deputy Secretary, Department of the Environment

- Yogesh Chauhan, Director Corporate Sustainability, Tata Consultancy Services

  • Potential Q&A topics include:

- How is consumer behaviour increasingly influenced by a company's choice to be sustainable

- What will be the impediments to change and how can they be overcome

- Sustainability and the role of financial markets

- Circular economy and cradle to cradle concept (innovation/green supply chain/drive growth to 2050 with limited resources)

- Sustainability (and/or integrated) reporting as a mandatory standard requirement
