Group Director of Digital
Nick Buckley is the Group Digital Director for L’Oréal UK & Ireland. Overseeing all digital activity across the entire portfolio of brands including L’Oréal Paris, Kérastase, Kiehl’s and La Roche Posay to name but a few. Responsibilities include social media, CRM, data & analytics and advancing digital media capabilities through the utilisation of advanced technologies. Prior to L’Oréal, Buckley was Global Head of Digital Media & Mobile Marketing for Sony, overseeing digital media activity across all markets. He has worked at leading digital organisations such as Marks & Spencer’s, EE, and AOL. He has also been a Board Director for the Mobile Marketing Association.
Head of Business Development
Mikela is a Brand Partnerships Director at Blippar, the leading visual browser powered by augmented reality and artificial intelligence. She joined the company in the initial stages in 2013 entrepreneurial style by launching the platform in new markets, subsequently heading the international expansion strategy and now in a commercial management role working with leading global brands. Mikela has been recognised as one of the leading women in digital in the UK by Campaign in 2016. She gave her first TEDx talk about the “Future of Mobile and Mobility” in 2013.
Global Marketing Director
Sacha Bunatyan is the global B2C marketing director for the Financial Times since her appointment in March 2016. In this role, she is responsible for driving continued growth of the FT’s subscriptions business via acquisitions, audience development, CRM and e-commerce. She manages a 40-strong marketing team with bases in London, New York, Hong Kong and Manila.
Bunatyan adopts a marketing approach that understands readers’ needs, working with rich audience data to provide the highest standard of customer experience. The B2C marketing team’s aim is to build quality reach, ensuring a strong pipeline of potential subscribers, and increasing reader engagement.
Bunatyan sits on the FT’s marketing council, which was created to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration. Results include a joint effort between product, B2B and B2C marketing teams, which led to a 76% increase in readers using myFT, a personalisation tool, between November to December last year. More than 350,000 readers are now following at least one topic, a prime driver of customer retention.
Bunatyan has built her 20-year career at a number of top digital innovators, including Emap, AOL and Dentsu Aegis. She is passionate about building successful, highly-skilled teams that help grow businesses by driving technological innovation.
Global Digital Director
MediaCom (WPP Group)
Liam is Global Digital Director at Mediacom, working across The Coca-Cola Company, Mars, Inc. and Mediacom’s Blink Innovation Program. Liam is currently responsible for driving digital planning, integration and innovation across these client/agency teams, and has previously lead the global digital direction for clients such as for brands Adidas Group, ASOS, Red Bull and Airbnb.
Head of eCommerce
Ronan works at Yoox Net-A-Porter where he is responsible for Product Management across the Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter brands. He joined the YNAP group from Betfair where he spent 4 years working in Product Management and before that he worked at a UX design agency.
Marketing Insights and Analytics Senior Manager
Nathaniel has over 11 years of experience in marketing effectiveness and research, working for global media agencies such as MediaCom and Dentsu-Aegis, as well as the specialist consultancy Data2Decisions. His work in this area spans a wide range of brands, products, markets and sectors, and has helped the some of the world’s biggest advertisers understand the performance of their activities and optimise their future creative deployments.
Whilst the more established statistical, quantitative and qualitative research approaches have formed the major part of his work so far, Nathaniel has in recent years heavily specialised in digital and social channel research, using advanced systems modelling and digital attribution techniques amongst others.
He currently leads the marketing mix programs for Twitter globally. He is part of the IPASocialWorks steering group and also sits on the I-COM Attribution board.
Dr. Andreas C. Ortner
Head of Strategy
Andreas (Andy) is the Head of Strategy and Director for Global Advisory at VML London (Y&R Group). His team is working closely together with international clients to identify and develop digital transformation opportunities and create unique differentiators on disrupted markets.
He is a Marketing Strategy expert with more than 10 years of consulting experience at international clients, at Accenture Interactive as well as at Deloitte Digital. Having worked for clients across all industries in Europe, South America, the Middle East and the US he gained significant expertise in best practice Marketing, Sales and Service Strategy definition and execution.
Dan is CMO and co-founder of Peakon. After starting his career as an analyst in the City for JP Morgan, Dan decided to put his analytical ability to better use in London's nascent startup scene. Since then, Dan has become one of Europe's leading experts on startup marketing and growth - having grown Qype to over 15 million monthly visits and an exit to Yelp for $50m, and Songkick to over 5 million users and 200 employees. He has extensive knowledge in digital marketing, analytics, marketing automaton, data-science, and product management. He is a regular contributor to the press and has written for The Times, The Next Web, Forbes, and The Huffington Post.
