The Marketing & Strategy Club is delighted to welcome Matt Brittin, President of Google EMEA, former Olympic athlete, and LBS alum. He has had a long career in media and marketing, joining Google from the newspaper industry, where he led commercial and digital operations at the biggest UK publisher. Matt joined Google in 2007 to help build its business in the UK and became President of Business and Operations in EMEA in 2014. He is currently a Trustee of charity The Media Trust.

He has an MBA from London Business School, MA from Cambridge and won silver medals for Cambridge in several Boat Races. He was also a member of the British rowing team and won medals in eights and fours at the World Rowing Championships and represented Great Britain at the Olympics. He is a steward of Henley Royal Regatta and he still rows regularly, though more slowly. Matt currently lives in London, near the Thames, with his wife, two sons, and a small but remarkably noisy dog.

During the session, Matt will chat with us about his career journey and share advice that has led to his success. Please submit questions for Matt via a Google form before Monday 15 February: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdA2emE1-bpViRr6PfIzTmW1E-Zg8shgOX_Rcqw34okPxXuaQ/viewform

This session will be moderated by Jon Ratcliffe, founder of Engage Video Group, former marketer at Google, and LBS partner. Jon worked at Google X in San Francisco and London, before founding Engage Video Group, Africa’s largest publishing business. He has been a speaker on the main stage at Cannes and on the World Economic Forum’s global agenda council focused on the digital economy.

Hope to see you (virtually) there!
