WELCOME TO MARCH
Hello again and welcome to your latest Partners Club Newsletter.
We hope that everyone has done their bit to beat the winter blues, and that you’re ready to embrace sensational Spring!
There’s a real effort being made to increase the number of formal and informal events, which you will be able to read more about. On that, it is also worth noting that all of these events (unless specified otherwise) are completely open to partners, students, past and present members of the LBS community and indeed friends. So, if you see something you want to attend but can’t because friends or relatives are in town, bring them along and we will do our best to boost your street cred.
The Partners Club is also pleased to announce that, after some relocation of its leadership team, we have a new co-president who you will meet in this edition.
Further to that, if you feel that you have something to offer in the way of getting involved in the club’s leadership team, please get in contact with us at any point. We will also be looking to fill several roles over the coming months, as the 2015 team finishes up… so watch this space… or get in contact with one of the presidents to find out more.
Happy reading,
Penny Timms

NEW CO-PRESIDENT
Some relocating of the current leadership team means that there’s been a slight move around of the Partners Club presidency. As well as Anatasia, your new co-president is Dipti Bhatia, who has taken a few moments to pen some words of introduction.
‘’Hello Partners,
I’m highly motivated and a self-starter who blooms on driving change and simplifying how things are done. I am a B2B tech marketer by profession, currently working with Vodafone HQ, as Global Campaign Manager.
On personal front I am married to a fabulous man, Varun Sharma (MIFFT 2014-15), and we both love travelling. I also enjoy photography, dancing, fine dining and cooking; I try to do one at a time but I am very much capable of handling and enjoying the blend occasionally.
I am from India and have been in UK since 2012. Some of my other loves include working, interacting with people, and keeping busy. My goal is to move ahead in life without leaving trust and relationships behind.
Best,
Dipti’’

LUNCH: THIS SUNDAY
After a series of pub nights, we thought fine dining would be a refreshing addition to the calendar year. This Sunday, March 8th, is when it is on. More details in the events attached below.
THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN
Friday March 13th, 7:30pm
Enjoy golf but don’t think you can trust London’s weather? Well this is the tournament for you! Prepare your foursome and get ready to hit the balmy indoor links. Clubs are provided along with your first beverage!
Coast is £10. Details attached.
EASTER EGG HUNT
Saturday March 21st, 3pm
The club is also hosting an Easter Egg Picnic on Saturday March 21st.
This is a family friendly event, catered for those with children, or simply those who enjoy an Easter Egg! It will be held at Regent’s Park with activities, entertainment, and of course lots of chocolates!
We’re trying to contact the Easter Bunny too, to see if he can drop by. He’s obviously a busy bunny though, so we will let you know when we have more details.
This is also a free event, supported by the Partners Club, but you do need to register by March 14th. Details attached.
Scroll down for details.

PUB NIGHT
Above is a happy snap from some of us who attended the pub catch-up in Marylebone last month.
It was great to be able to meet some new faces for what was a relaxing and nice evening out. It proved to be a very popular place, but hopefully everyone was able to enjoy the night and we will be able to spread out a bit more at the next event!
The club is hoping to host another pub night, close to Marylebone Tube Station later this month.
We will send out more details shortly but would love it if you could drop by for a drink or two on your way home from work, study or London Life.
BOOK CLUB
I went to my first ever Book Club meeting in late January. I mostly went to see-off Lisa Twang, who was hosting it for the last time, as she has now returned to her homeland of Singapore. I had not read the book… and out of the seven people who attended, only two of them had. You know the other thing? It really was just a great excuse to catch up for a pub dinner! So, if you like socialising and you like food and you like pubs, I sincerely suggest that next time you see the invite to Book Club, you attend.
However, for you to attend, the club needs to continue. If you like pub dinners and talking to people and you think you could spare an evening a month to set up a book club meeting, why not raise your hand to take over the sub-club? If you like to read books, that’s even better!
The Partners Club would love to hear from you if this is a role you would be interested in and, again, you don’t have to be a partner; you could be any part of the LBS community.
CONTACTS:
