We are thrilled to host two first-time fund founders, Andrea Casasco (Harvard Law School and Bocconi) and Andrea Gurnari (LBS MBA2023), for an inspiring discussion to shed light on their journey from careers in law, secondaries investing, product strategy, and entrepreneurship, to finally establishing their own growth-oriented investment fund at only 30 years old. During the discussion, Andrea and Andrea will share not only how they explored building out their investment thesis and competitive moat as well as pitched their first investor cohort to buy into their thematic approach, but will moreover cover the practicalities and “brass tacks” of establishing an investment vehicle – from structuring to fundraising to finally deal flow generation and business development.
Within this 75-minute session, you’ll take away all the key lessons learned from two savvy investors who leveraged their highly non-traditional backgrounds for not just starting successful investing careers as employees, but as entrepreneurs. It is an ambitious path, but not one untraveled nor unreachable!
A networking session will be held after the session to let Andrea and Andrea answer any questions!
