Do you want to become a CEO right after school?
Do you have an entrepreneurial mind-set and are you looking for a big opportunity?
Are you an investor or family office and you want to learn about this 30% IRR asset class?
This presentation is for you!

This information session is designed to introduce the funded search model to aspiring entrepreneurs and investors interested in this asset class. A Search Fund (or entrepreneurship through acquisition) is an innovative way for a young entrepreneur – typically an MBA graduate – to run his or her own business. Search funds also offer a unique investment opportunity yielding exceptional return for investors and entrepreneurs. Over the last 20 years search funds have grown in popularity from North America to Europe and other parts of the world.

The event will be hosted by Relay Investments, one of the largest institutional investors in international search funds. Relay is an investment firm focused on backing talented entrepreneurs and delivering above-market returns to its investors and entrepreneurs. Its team provides support and guidance to searchers and CEOs, leveraging its long investing experience. Through its two funds, Relay has invested in c. 200 search funds and c. 80 companies in 22 countries.

Clement Lucas, Senior VP at Relay, will lead the session. Clement supports searchers in process and operations analysis, business modeling, and the overall due diligence process.

Before joining Relay Investments, Clement was a Management Consultant at Roland Berger in Boston, where he worked for two years. He participated in c. 10 due diligence processes and c. 5 growth strategy projects across the US, helping clients achieve their strategic objectives through complex M&A or organic growth initiatives.

Clement also worked for four years at Nexus Group, a leading private equity fund in Latin America. He conducted due diligence in multiple industries and held key operating roles (Head of FP&A and Interim CFO) in portfolio companies.

In his free time, Clement enjoys watching the NBA, playing soccer, and spending time outdoors with friends or family. He is an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction, two of his favorite books are The Kindly Ones and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

Clement holds an MBA from MIT Sloan and an MS in Management from ESCP in France. He speaks fluent French and Spanish.
